James Lester
August 1, 1944 — February 23, 2012
James R. Lester, 67, of Wooster, died Thursday at his residence after a long illness. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Kern officiating.
Burial will be at Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held.

Jim was born August 1, 1944 in Elyria to Doyle and Margaret {Stevens} Lester.
He graduated from Waynedale High School in 1963. Was in the Army and served in Vietnam
He worked at International Paper, Gerstenslager, Regal Ware. Jim was an avid fan of College of Wooster Basketball and a member of the Rebounders Club, he also enjoyed fishing, and boating. Jim was devoted to his four grandchildren and daughter.
Jim will be deeply missed by Children Jennifer Lester-Woodruff; Grandchildren Tyler, Tori, Tristen and Tyson Woodruff; Brothers Richard Lester of Apple Creek, Ronald Lester of Gautier, Ms; and Sister Zelma (Gale) Hamilton of Wooster; Aunt Dorothy Zahars of Elyria; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother Edward Lester, Doyle Jr. Lester; Nephew Edward Hamilton.
