James Eugene Malone, 52, of Ashland, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Medcentral-Mansfield Hospital. ?Jim was born January 14, 1955, in Mansfield, Ohio to Howard W. and Evelyn (Pierce) Malone. ?Jim was self-employed as a construction contractor. ?He attended Foursquare Church in Mansfield, umpired baseball in the Ashland area, enjoyed fishing and playing ping-pong with his boys. ?Jim will be deeply missed by children Jaime (Jared) Crider of Greenwich; Matthew Malone of Nashville, Tenn.; Adam Malone currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq; step-daughter Staci (Ron) Pelham of Ashland; grandchildren Jordan, Alexis, Kristin Crider and Emily Pelham; his mother Evelyn Malone of Ashland; brothers Bob Miller of Penn. and Kenny (Raye) Malone of Mansfield; sisters Louise (Russell) Keener of Ashland; Evelyn (Dan) Buckey of Lakeside; Lavonna (George) Baker, Edna (Bob) Cole both of Mifflin; special friends Joe (Bonnie) Grundy, and Camala Snelling. ?Jim was preceded in death by his father, brother Chuck, twin brother John, and sister Janice. ?Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US Route 250 North, Ashland. ?Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park following the service. ?Friends may call on Friday, March 23 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
