Janet F. Slagle, 58, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital.Janet was born March 29, 1951, in Ashland, Ohio the daughter of Glenn and Sarah Heffelfinger Stutz. Janet married Daniel Slagle on December 27, 1984 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was employed at Wal-Mart for eight years. Janet was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly Church; Janet was a member of the Alabama Club and an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Janet will be deeply missed by her husband Daniel and children James Slagle of Crestline and Joseph (Bobbie) Slagle of Ashland, along with grandchildren Vincent, William, Braxtonand Jacey. Her brothers Glenn Stutz of Tacoma, Washington, Robert (Phyllis) Stutz of Lenore N.C. a sister Sarah Marker of Ashland, and her Aunt Amy Heffelfinger Her nieces Jennifer Marker, Lisa (Keith) Kramer, Cindy Hughes, and a nephew Jason Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Sarah Stutzand a brother James Stutz.
Funeral will be Friday April 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Lighthouse Pentecostal Church; 323 Steele Ave. Ashland, Ohio Pastor Dr. Paul Tracy officiating. Friends may call FridayApril 17, 2009 from 12 pm to 2:00 pm at the Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
