Jean Lois Carpenter, of Wadsworth, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Akron. ?She was born to Burt and Lucy (Hammack) Dempsey on June 11, 1927 in Anstead, West Virginia. She was a homemaker and had worked at Admiral Machine. ?She was Baptist by faith. ?She married James David Carpenter in 1956. ?He preceeded her in death in 1990.
Services will be Tuesday, March 28, at 11:00 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Home, Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Randy Baker officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday, March 27 from 2-4 P.M. and from 6-8 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Road, Seville.
She is survived by children James Philip (Pat) Dempsey, Richard (Oneta) Alexander, Catherine Lynn (Douglas) Marshall, Calvin Emmett Alexander, Danny Wayne Carpenter, Michael William Carpenter, Bonnie Faye Pamer, Ronald Ray (Mary Beth) Carpenter, Scott Timothy (Joyce) Carpenter, 44 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, brother Ronald Dempsey and sister Helen Cart, both of West Virginia.. ?She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Rev. James Carpenter, daughter Rosa Lee, and 3 grandchildren.
