Jerry Ray

Jerry L Ray, 67, of Wadsworth, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home. He was born March 7, 1944 in Huntington, WV to Forrest and Edna Louise (Robertson) Ray. He attended Guyandotte and Enslow Schools. Jerry moved to Wadsworth in 1959 and worked at Ohio Match, Massey Ferguson, River Styx Store and Alfe Heat Treatment.


Jerry will be deeply missed by daughters Tammi Bates (Mike Olenick) of Canal Fulton, Teri McCray of Barberton, son Brian Ray of Texas, brothers Forrest (Gloria) Ray of Ocala, Fl, Robert (Roberta) Ray of Newton Falls, OH, sisters Betty (Richard) Gould of Wadsworth, OH, Patricia (Irv) Carter of Wooster, OH, grandchildren Samatha McCray, Josh McCray, Nikki Bates, Chad Bates, great grandchildren Matthew and Jayden, friend and exwife Barbara Frantz.


Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Edna Louise Hagedorn , father Forrest Ray, Sr., and step -father George Hagedorn.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .
