Jessie M. Jackson was a sparkling soul who lived a beautiful life and we are blessed to have shared the 75 years she spent in our company. She was born May 6, 1934 in Grenada Mississippi to Albert and Alma (Goliday) Tillison. She was a central figure and matriarch in her family and made the holiday season special for all. She loved to garden, sew and prepare special family meals. She had a gentle loving spirit, and could lend a kind word to loved ones and strangers. She was very encouraging and proud to see all of her grandchildren enrolled in or graduating from college. She was also personally dedicated to her own education, and pursued and completed her adult education course of study. She enjoyed travelling, visiting friends, and was always excited to learn something new. She was a long-time member of the Second Baptist Church in Wooster, Ohio. She considered church her second home, and her church family as part of her own family. She was a member of the Strivers Club and the Missionary Auxiliary, and served as a Correspondent Secretary for this organization. She retired from Bell & Howell in 1995 after working 24 ½ years. She will be deeply missed by her children Martha (Ronald) Hill of Wooster, LaVerne Jackson of Chicago, Joseph Jackson and Emily (William) Jackson-Johnson of Canton; Grandchildren Keli Jackson, Jasmine Clark and Torian Kornhaus; brothers Frank Tillison, Robert Tillison and sisters Rosie Lee Meeks, Alma Hays and Louvinia Brewer. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and children Dora Jean Jackson and Virgil Jackson and brother Albert Jr. Tillison
