Jim E. Beichler, 72, of Creston, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Wooster Community Hospital. Services will be Thursday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Jim was born May 10, 1934, in Creston, to John and Ruth (Smith) Beichler. He married Doris Gingrich on November 6, 1954. She survives.
Mr. Beichler was employed at PCA in Rittman, retiring after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, basketball, baseball and coaching his son's little league baseball team.
Jim will be deeply missed by his wife and children; Karen Hauter of Minnesota and Scott Beichler of Rittman; two granddaughters Jennifer and Alicia; and great-grandaughter Mikiya; brothers John (Donna) Beichler of Seville, Paul (Francis) Beichler and Jack Beichler both of Wooster, Carl (Teiko) Beichler of Sterling, and David Beichler of Wadsworth; sister Thema (Berry) Ameriposa of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William, and sisters Arlene Ennis and Sally Svoado.
