Joan was born November 11, 1937 in Wooster, OH to Kenneth and Nellie { Lucas} Wirt. She married Dale Finley on April 1, 1956. He died previously.
Joan worked at Whitacker Myers as a secretary for a number of years. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Dalton. Joan enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her son Brent (Linda) Finley of Rock Hill, SC, and daughter Peggy(Michael) Bruce of Stuart FL; 10 grandchildren; brother Kenneth(Cheryl)Wirt, sisters Lynn (Chet) Six, and Ann Pinkley all of Wooster
In addition to her husband Dale, Joan was preceded in death by her son Bradley Finley and sister Flo Sprague.
