John P. Duncan, 86, of Millersburg, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Aultman Hosptial in Canton. ?Private graveside services will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. ?Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel is handling the arrangements.

He was born March 6, 1920 in ?North Lawrence, Ohio to Guy Leroy and Mabelle (Pyers) Duncan. ?He married Fern Alexander on June 17, 1950. ?She survives.
He graduated from Beach City High School in 1938 and attended Canton Business College. ?He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a flight engineer. ?He retired from Ashland Oil in 1980 after 30 years of service. ?He was a member of the United Methodist Church ?in Millersburg and enjoyed traveling and reading.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons David (Debbie) Duncan of Bend, Oregon, Leroy (Marie) Duncan of Millersburg, Mark (Laura) Duncan of Big Prairie and James (Sandy) Duncan of Lakeville, 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
His parents, brothers Malcolm and Hobart Duncan and a sister Bellouise Grubaugh died previously.
