John “Jack” W. Steinbach, 74, of Wooster, died Saturday March 3, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11a.m. at the funeral home with Father Chris Trenta officiating.
Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.

John was born October 30, 1937 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Louis and Mary {Ease} Steinbach.
He graduated from Windber High School, Windber, PA in 1957. John served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1969. He served in the Vietnam War where he was awarded two Bronze Stars with one commemorated for Valor. John worked at The Akron Brass where he retired in the late 1980’s.
He married Connie Kirkendall-Vizzo on June 21, 1980. She died in May 1987
John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a member of the Wooster American Legion Post #68. John was an avid bowler and Steelers Fan, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
John will be deeply missed by children Rodney (Janet) Vizzo of Florida, Scott Vizzo of Wooster, Phillip Vizzo of Wooster; grandchildren Danielle Vizzo-Heissenberg and Heather Vizzo of Florida, Rachael, Chloe, and Seth Vizzo of Wooster; great-grandchildren Damion and Lina Heissenberg of Florida; brother Tom (Mary Ann) Steinbach of Windber, PA and Jim Steinbach of Wooster and numerous nieces and nephews.
