John Wesley Tisher, 56, of Wadsworth, died on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Autumnwood Nursing Home in Rittman, surrounded by his loving wife and children. John was born November 30, 1953 in Wadsworth to Glenn Austin and Edith Anne (Dyke) Tisher. He lived for many years in the Seville-Wadsworth areas, John graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1972, and graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Small Business Management. In 1984 he graduated from the National Institute of Technology in Akron.
He married Melody Ann Mullen on September 28, 1985. John was involved in the automobile industry for many years, and involved with his parent’s and grandparents’ farm for over 40 years. In addition, John was a Volunteer Fireman and Treasurer for the Seville Guilford Volunteer Fire Department for 16 years. He also was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years. He enjoyed flying planes, water skiing, landscaping; and trips to Amish country. John had traveled all through Europe in 1972 as a high school musician.
John will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters Molly and Kaitlin both of Wadsworth, grandchildren Aaliyah and Aiden, his mother Edith Anne Tisher, brother Ron Tisher of Canton; and a large extended family. He had a great love for his little dog Noah.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M.at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
