Kermit D. Shearer, 96, of Wooster, died Thursday February 2, 2012 in Kidron.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Kermit was born May 2, 1915 in Holmes County to Montford and Vera {Hutchinson} Shearer.
He attended Shreve High School graduating in 1933. He married Catherine Garman on October 11, 1941.
Kermit was a self-employed farmer for most of his life. He was a member of the United Church of Christ (now Old Stone Church). He belonged to the Hi-Lo Club and Farm Bureau. He and his wife enjoyed camping and gardening and watching sports such as basketball and baseball.
Kermit will be deeply missed by his sons Robert D. (Dorothy) Shearer of Apple Creek, William E. (Connie) Shearer of Wooster, Gary L. (Marilyn J.) Shearer of West Salem, and daughter Glorene K. (Scott) Evilsizor of Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
