Leroy Roberts, 81, of Ashland, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at The Good Shepherd in Ashland.
Leroy was born March 7, 1930, in Highland, Ohio to Earl and Myrtle (Caplinger) Roberts.He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956.
He delivered the Ashland Times Gazette, and was a farmer.He was a member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Mitzie.
He married Virginia Louis Hartley on April 15, 1975.She preceded him in death in 1997.
Leroy will be deeply missed by his sister, Adamae Crase of Dayton, numerous nieces and nephews, and friend, Nancy Shambaugh of Ashland, and children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 W. Ashland, OH with Pastor Adam Kime officiating.Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park with military rites by Ashland Veterans Honor Guard.Online tributes may be made at
