Linda Hartzler

Linda Robinson Hartzler, 99, died July 31, 2009, in Wooster Community Hospital.


Born May 5, 1910 in Manchester, England, Linda was a radiologist by profession.


She taxied servicemen around London during World War II. Following that, she lived in Paris and London.


She married Dr. Adrian J. Hartzler, M.D. on Feb. 29, 1949. Dr. Hartzler preceded her death in August 1982.


Linda spent 17 years sailing on the Queen Elizabeth II, enjoying the companionship of the passengers and delighting in exploring each exotic port.


Linda was co-owner of Flair Travel Agency in Wooster and spent many years guiding travelers around the globe. She was an avid reader and patron of the Wayne County Library, and enjoyed both golf and tennis.


She is survived by stepson Rex E. 'Merle' Hartzler of Worthington, and stepdaughters Marjean Chastain, Wooster, and Joan Gerber of Mesa, Ariz. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
