Loren M. Yoder, 85, of Wooster died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the Wayne County Care Center surrounded by his family. ?
He was born July 16, 1921 in Millersburg to Stephen and Emma (Miller) Yoder. ?He is survived by his wife, Ada (Stenhouse) Yoder, whom he married January 13, 1943.
Loren was employed at the Timken Company as an electrician, retiring in 1983 after 41 years of service. ?He was a member of the Wooster First Church of God. ?Loren enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending winters in Florida. ?He also enjoyed his workshop and garden.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Stephen (Nancy) Yoder of Wooster and Sandra (Ray) Kief of Haines City, Florida, three grandchildren Kristi (Steve) Wilcox, Jenna and Andrea Yoder, two great-grandchildren Reid and Alyxandra Wilcox and brothers Galen (Mary) Yoder of Shreve and Oscar (Betty) Yoder of Apple Creek. ?
In addition to his parents, a sister Ruby Hantzsche and a brother Carl Yoder died previously.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Ken Thomas and Rev. Rufus Thompson co-officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
