Lou Ellen Shaum, 82, of Rittman passed away Tuesday June 7, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, in Wooster. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Lou Ellen was born June 18, 1928 in Crum, WV to Bill Hitchcock and Virginia Crum. She married Richard E. Shaum on May 25, 1976. He survives.
She worked as a secretary for many companies including PCA in Rittman. Lou Ellen was a member of the Moose and Eagles, and enjoyed fishing and camping with her family.
Lou Ellen will be deeply missed by her husband Richard, children Sherry Stasko of Doylestown, Mark (Darlene) Webner of Phoenix, AZ, Linda (Terry) Harmon of Apple Creek, and Vicky (John) Rice of Lodi; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Tom Stasko.
