Lyle E. Stentz 78, of Ashland, Went to be with the Lord Thursday January 1,2009 at Hospice House of Ashland. He was born November 10,1930 in Hayesville, Ohio to Lester and Pauline Stentz.His friends, and family will miss him. He graduated in 1948 from Hayesville High School. Served in the Korean War from 1951-1953.He was employed by Standard Oil for 25 years, and was a custodian for Ashland High School for 15 years. Was a life member of Legion Post 88 and 1037 VFW also a member of Amvets Post 96, A Moose Club member and an Eagles member. He is survived by sisters Janice (Russ) Forbes of Ashland, Carol (Jim) Shilling of Ashland and Mary Stearns of Lorian, A brother Bill (Marylou) Stentz of Ashland. Proceeded in death by his Father and Mother a brother Lee. Lyle is survive by many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Kay Stentz.Funeral Services will be Jan.6 th 11:00 a.m. At Roberts Funeral Home Ashland Chapel with Pastor Rob Barlow and Ted Siebert. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park where Military right will be held by Active Duty.
