Macel Jordan

Macel J. Jordan, 89, of Orrville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Brenn Field Nursing Home, in Orrville.

Services will be at 11am on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home – Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth with Pastor Brad Dews officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Macel was born April 30, 1922 in Old Curtain, WV to Dana and Mamie {Berry} McQuain. She married Harry P. Jordan in 1946. He passed away June 27, 1991.

Macel attended the Orrville Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 37 years at Akron Baptist Temple. She served as the head cook at the Wadsworth High School. Macel enjoyed cooking, embroidery, sewing, and playing with her grandchildren.

Macel will be deeply missed by her children Connie (Denny) Galford of NC, Sharon (Steve) Dickson of Smithville, and Audrey Jordan of Canton, 10 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.



Macel was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Jordan, sister Quanita Eubank, and brother Doyle McQuain.
