Marilyn June (Fulwider) Farquharson, 81, of Ashland, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 after a long fight against cancer.
She was the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Mace) Fulwider, born January 29, 1930 in Richalnd County.She worked many years at S.S. Kresge’s and Jupiter, and retired from Smith Electric.
Marilyn married William Farquharson on November 14, 1949.She is survived by her husband William, a son, Lee (Linda) Farquharson of Fredericksburg, Virginia and a daughter Lori (Fred) Gottfried of Jeromesville.She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christina (Jacob) Clemens, Steven Walters, Michael Walters, Jennifer Gottfried, Brian Gottfried, and Matthew Gottfried; her sister, Gretchen Bissel of Youngstown, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Fulwider in 1982 and her sister, Barb Whitmore in 1973.
Marilyn was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for 55 years, where she served in many capacities and especially loved being a Church School teacher.
Private services will be held.In lieu of flowers, friends may send donation to The Chronic Disease Fund ( www.cdfund.org ), Leukemia Lymphona Society (Donor Services, P.O.
