Gibson, 48, of Wooster, died Monday, January 9, 2006 in Coshocton. ?Services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with the Pastor Dan DeHass officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
He was born September 4, 1957 in Akron to Arthur "Bud" and Grace (Herzog) Gibson. ?He married Wendy Workman on January 13, 1996. ?She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army. ?He worked for Wood Trucking Service and enjoyed computers and his Hamm radio (AA8TZ).
Surviving in addition to his wife are step-children Pam Reed of Millersburg, Sherri (Anthony) Troyer of Nashville and Bill (Deb) McCullough of Port St. Lucie, Florida, 6 step-grandchildren and sisters Karen Scheibe of Wooster and Grace (Jake) Bechtel of West Salem, nieces and nephews and special friend Mae Rayburn.
His parents and a brother Arthur Gibson died previously.
