Mary Lou Baker -Jones, 58, of Wadsworth, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, surrounded by family and friends at Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Mary Lou was born June 2, 1953, in Grove City, PA to George and Mary Grace {Sloan} Wilkins.
Mary Lou graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1971.
She met the love of her life Doyle Jones in the 1980's and married him May 30, 1986.
Mary Lou worked for 22 years at National Metal Abrasive and then worked for 5 years at Wadsworth City Schools as an Educational Aide, and Home Instead.? She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and cake decorating. ?Mary Lou was also an avid collector of? "The Wizard of Oz" and "Disney" memorabilia. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her husband DJ of 25 years and sons; H.J. (Melissa) Baker of Columbus and Aarick Jones of Wadsworth, grandchildren; Brock and Ava Baker, mother Mary Grace Wilkins of Wadsworth, sisters; Kathy (Bob) Furman of Wadsworth and Sue (Charles) Shooks of Wadsworth, sister in laws; Tammy (Tom) Pollard of Wooster and Libby Jones of Wooster, brother in law Landy Jones of CA, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her father George, brother Thomas Wilkins, Aunt Emma Jane Boyd, mother in law Iva Jones, and brother in law Pete (Linda) Simmons.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11 to 1 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 1 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Erik Swanson officiating.
