Mary Ellen Baughman, 80, of Burbank, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 am at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, with Pastor Jack Gessic officiating.All friends and family are welcome to share their memories. Mary Ellen was born October 12, 1930 in Westfield Township to James and Thelma {Cowhick} Peacock.
Mary Ellen graduated from Savannah High School in 1949. She then attended nursing school at Massillon City Hospital in 1951.
She married Robert D. Baughman on August 8, 1950. He died August 29, 1997.
Mary Ellen worked for Rubbermaid for 30 years before retiring in 1990. After retiring she worked at Home Heroes in Wooster. She attended Burbank United Methodist and was very active in the woman's group. Mary loved working in her flower gardens, crocheting, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary Ellen will be deeply missed by children Priscilla (Kenneth) Spradlin of Kentucky, James (Wendy) Baughman of Orrville, Vicki (Jeffrey) Oliver of West Salem ; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret (Chuck) Dellinger of Indiana, Ann Smith of Wooster, Karen (Richard) Ferrell of Wooster.
In addition to her husband Robert, Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her brothers William, Richard, and Billy (infant) Peacock.
