Mary Cornelius

Mary G. Cornelius, 92, of Holmesville, went to be with the Lord and other departed family members on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at ? Horns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Friends may call Friday from 6- 8 pm at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Joel Yates officiating. Mary was born in Wayne Co. on April 24, 1919 to Floyd and Pearl M. (Flickenger) Walton and has been a resident of Wayne and Holmes County all her life.

After her retirement from Rubbermaid and Boys Village, she lived in Holmesville. Mary enjoyed attending Church, growing flowers, baking cookies, quilting, and taking long walks.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Anna Steen of Wooster; sons, Frank and (Sharon) Cornelius of Massillon, Floyd and (Pat) Cornelius of Medina, Don and (Betty) Cornelius of Medina, Leroy and (Charlotte) Cornelius of Wooster ; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren ; and 26 great great grandchildren, and numerous neices and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Harold, a husband Harold, a daughter Arvilla, a son Dean, a grandson Greg, and a great granddaughter Lacey
