Mary Friend, 79, of Shreve died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at her residence. Services will be Friday at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with the Pastor Christopher Troupe officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com. Mary was born October 19, 1927 in Blachleyville to Clarence and Alie {Goodman} Haven. She married Warren Hensel; he died previously. She then married Robert LeRoy Friend. He died in 1976.
Mary was a waitress and a homemaker. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Big Prairie. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary will be deeply missed by her children June (Robert) Savedra and Kenneth Friend both of Jacksonville, FL, Steven Jay Friend and Dwayne Hensel both of Wooster, Mary Stackpole of Shreve, Luella Miller and Betty Casdorth both of Millersburg, Teresa Snow of Warsaw; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Louise, Jack, Johnnie, Howard, Pauline, Sarah, Wanda, Glendel, Lois,and Harold.
Mary was preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Kenny, Bruce and a grandson.
