Mary Harper

Mary Ruth Harper, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hospice of North Central Ohio.

She was born November 25, 1928 in Flemingsburg, KY to Russell Garr and Ada Laura (Gardner) Hickerson.

Mary and Lee Roy Harper were married on October 8, 1952.

She retired from Ashland University as a maintenance supervisor. Mary enjoyed sewing, camping and traveling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Lee Roy; Children Linda (fiancé Steve Ray) of Pickwick, Tenn; Lee Roy Harper Jr. (fiancé Tammy) of Mansfield and Rick of Ashland OH; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Janet (Kim) Brewer, Iolene (Richard) Hamm and Lena (Charles) McGlone all of Flemingsburg, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Alfred and Roy Hickerson.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 11 at 2 pm. at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 N. Friends may call Thursday, May 10 from 5p-7p at the funeral home.Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
