Mary Phelps. 80, of Wooster died Monday , October 29, 2007 at Smithville Western Care Center after many years of declining health. ?Service of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:30am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Mary was born March 25, 1927 in Walton, New York to Andrew and Elizabeth Sabol. ?She married Robert Phelps on May 25, 1953. ?He died in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving is one brother Steve "Pete" Sabol of Dothan, Alabama and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Phelps and brothers, George, John Andrew and Joe Sabol.
Mary's time on this earth will never be forgotten. ?The love she had for life, her family and friends will live on forever. ?She touched so many people with her strength, wisdom and gentle heart.
