Maxine Joan Fitch, 73, of Ashland, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Hospice House in Ashland. Maxine was born August 30, 1936 in Greenville, Pennsylvania to Leroy Henry and Lilian Marie Williams Groover. She married Marshall Lindsey Fitch August 7, 1953
Maxine worked at Samaritan hospital retiring after 27 years. She was a member of Olivesburg United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Olivesburg Grange and was also a member of the Ohio State Grange, and the Ashland County Farm Bureau
Maxine will be deeply missed by her husband Marshall; children Arden (Patricia) Fitch of Savannah, Debra (Gaylon) Klobe of Jersey Shore, PA, Randall Fitch of Mansfield, Darrell Fitch of Ashland,David (Nancy) Fitch of Ashland,Mardell (Roger) Wharton of Shiloh, Douglas (Beth) Fitch of Ashland, Dondi (Teresa) Fitch of Shiloh; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, Brothers Albert ( Joyce) Groover of Wooster, Ronald ( Dorothy) Groover of Creston, Norris ( Cathy) Groover of Kinsman and sisters Vonda ( Larry) Floch of Houston, Tx and Gail DeZarn of Kinsman.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel, Ashland, with the Rev.
