Mereda R. Offutt, 89, of Wooster, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Gerald Compton officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Online tributes may be made at

Mereda was born February 12, 1921 in Clay County, W.V. to James and Lina {Lyons} Knotts. She married Denzel Offutt on March 6, 1939. He passed away November 30, 1999.
Mereda was ahomemaker anda member of the Wooster Apostolic Pentacostal Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, Bible devotions, and prayer time.
Mereda will bedeeply missed by her sister Gertrude (Ellis) Angles and manynieces andnephews.
Along with her husband, Mereda was preceded in death by her sister Irene (Phil) Musolino and her parents.
