Michael (Mike) Ray Owsley, 64, of Ashland, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland.
He was born January 3, 1943 in Prestenburg, Kentucky, the son of Dewey and Audrey (Hughes) Owsley.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Army. ?He served during the Vietnam conflict. ?He married Betty Mason on March 16, 1961. ?Mike was a general contractor, a member of the Sullivan Blue Lodge, American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida. ?He also loved boating, fishing, and hunting.
Mike will be deeply missed by his wife Betty; daughter Michell Owsley of Ashland; brother Scott Owsley of Alaska; and special friends The Boy?s Clinker, Jack, Luckey Cat.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dewey Owsley II.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home ? Ashland Chapel, 1058 U.S. 250 West, Ashland with Pastor Carl Cawood officiating. ?Active duty military will present the flag.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Children?s? Day at Conservation Farm c/o Ashland County Wildlife Conservation League, 1930 Co. Road 1035, Ashland, OH ?44805.
