Nelson Leon Steagall, 88, of Mansfield, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at his residence.
Nelson was born January 10, 1922 in Brown County, Kentucky to Herbert and Dicey Steagall.On May 28, 1945 he married Nadine L. Salyers.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.He had been employed at Mansfield Tire, and Federal Glass in Kentucky.
Nelson will be deeply missed by his children; Wayne Steagall of Mansfield and Jo Ann (Wayne) Oney of Ontario; grandchildren Kenny, Eddie, and Chris Steagall, Wendell Moser and Shawn (Kris) Carroll and Allen Steagall; and sixteen great grand children; a brother, Vernon (Jean) Steagall of Lexington, KY.
Nelson was preceded in death by his wife Nadine, his sons Steve and Roy Steagall, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will beMonday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel with Rev. Earl Tackett officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
