Patrick Benchoff

Patrick “Pat” E. Bechoff, 67, of Wooster, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his residence.


Friends may call Friday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.


Services will be Saturday at noon at the funeral home with Shawn Hilliard officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Pat was born March 17, 1944 in Wadsworth to Guy and Mary {Killough} Benchoff Sr. He served in the U.S Army from 1963-1966. Pat married Margaret Robinson on December 23, 1966.


Pat was a millwright with Local #1871 retiring in 1998. Following his retirement, Pat worked for the Wayne County Veterans Service Commission driving veterans to various appointments. He was a member of the Wooster-Madisonburg Evening Lions Club. Pat enjoyed golf, playing sports, helping people, woodworking, coached little league baseball for 7 years.


Pat will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret, of 44 years, son Michael (Elizabeth) Benchoff of Fairlawn, brother Karl (Katie) Benchoff of Wooster, sisters Betty Bechtel, Marilyn (Kenneth) Zimmerly, both of Wooster, Joy Neugebauer of West Minster, CA, and Evelyn Garnes of Norton, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
