Paul A. Gower, 66, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital, in Wooster.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Dean Hammond officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Paul was born September 9, 1945 in Baxter, West Virginia to Harvey F. and Mary M. {Patrick} Gower.
He retired from Volvo in 1997. Paul served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Newport News. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married Arlene “Cookie” Buege on July 29,1967.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife Arlene, Children Paula Gower of Columbus, Jeff (Julie) Gower of Wooster; Grandchildren Alexis, Domanic, Kayla, and Taylor Gower; brother Dick (Eleanor) Gower of Grant Town, West Virginia; sister Peg Perkins of Baxter, West Virginia.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth “Bebe” Eddy.
