Paul E. Sprang, 82, of Orrville, died Saturday March 17, 2012 at Orrville Pointe.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.Funeral services will be Friday at 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Paul was born April 29, 1929 in Loudonville, Ohio to Ruby {McPhillan} Parsons. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during WWII.
He married Rose Dalessandro on August 27, 1969. Paul was a member of the VFW and the Lutheran Church. He worked for Darling Co. for 20 years and operated Sprang’s restaurant in Rittman and worked at Jerry’s Cafe for 8 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Paul will be deeply missed by his children Mary (Jon) Wells of Orrville, Sue (Glenn Borden) Reder of Raymond, WA; step-children Danny (Flo) Arnold of Wooster, Diana (Paul) Baily of Orrville, Roger (Pauletta) Arnold of Massillon, Steve (Alice) Arnold of Creston, Jo Ann (Dick) Stuckey of North Carolina, Craig (Mary) Arnold of South Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters Joan Good of Orrville, Eileen Pagniano of Wooster, Vivian Leaman or Orrville, and Karen Meadors of Denson, TX; brother Bob Leaman of Lakeland, Fl.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, son Danny Lee Sprang and his brother Larry Leaman.
