Philip A. Heil, 58, of Wooster died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. ?Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Phil was born December 11, 1948 in Bellaire to Albert and Eileen {McCloud} Heil. ?He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. ?Phil married Susan Jones on October 19, 1991. ?He worked at Rubbermaid for 15 years until 2002. ?Phil was a member of the Ebenezer Masonic Lodge #33, Eastern Star #270, Wooster Chapter RAM #27, DAV Wayne County Chapter 44, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 558, and the VFW.
Phil enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, cutting wood, Blue Collar Comedy and anything to do with outdoors.
He will be deeply missed by his wife; children Chad (Lyssa) Heil of Lakeville, Lena (Chris) Farris of Newark; grandchildren Tori and Race Heil, Angel and Cierra Farris; his father of Woodsfield; sister Barb Meek of Woodsfield; sister in law Joyce Heil of Van Wert; several nieces and nephews.
His mother and brother Mike Heil precede him in death.
