Raymond “Ray” A. , 81, of Apple Creek, died March 31, 2012 at Brenn-Field Nursing Home, in Orrville.



A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Evangel Assembly of God, with Pastor Mark Ryder officiating. Ray was born August 8, 1930 in Ashland, Ohio to Ervan and Mable {Emminger} .



He married Juanita Blair on July 8, 1950.She died in October 2009.



Ray worked in upholstery, construction, Amish driver, and various side jobs throughout the state. He was an active member of the Evangel Assembly of God where he was involved in the prison ministry. Ray was a member of Killbuck Valley Radio Club and enjoyed his family and friends. He always enjoyed helping others.



Raymond will be deeply missed by his children Peggy Dile, Sandy Huffman, Deanna (Lenny) Morris all of Wooster, Lois (Billie) Davis of New Mexico, Phillip (Karen) of Apple Creek; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Wayne of Arizona, and Stanley of Ashland; sisters Almedia Payne, Lila (Ora) Koch all of Ashland



Ray was preceded in death by his wife Juanita of 59 years, son Larry, grandson Scot Swartzentruber, granddaughter Virginia Huffman, brothers Bill and Paul, and sister Dana Benner.
