Raymond (Smoke) Byers, 54, of Ashland passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Hospice House of Ashland. He was born November 25,1954 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the son of Orkie and Dorothy (Savage) Byers.
Raymond was in construction as a roofer. He was a member of Ashland Moose Lodge
# 1383. Raymond enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He will be deeply missed by his mother Dorothy, his daughters Trisha Byers of Mansfield and her two children, and Joanna Barker of Ashland. His Brothers James (Janel) Savage, William, Robert, John of Ashland and Alan and Glen Byers of Fla. His sisters Ann (George) Staley of Ashland, Diana Lanning and Barbara Smith of Fla.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, brother Albert and nephew Bobby Savage.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009, 4:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel, 1058 US 250 N, Ashland with Pastor Tim Carver officiating.
