Richard Anderson

Richard W. Anderson, 83, of Ashland, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Kingston of Ashland.Richard was born February 28, 1925 in Ashland to Earl Earnest and Gail Marie (Hetsler) Anderson.He married Betty June Cooper on November 21, 1946. She survives.

He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.He was self-employed in skilled trades and retired from Good Shepherd Nursing Home.He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church Men’s Breakfast Club, and the American Legion.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife Betty and children Steven W. (Debbie) Anderson and Eric P. (Sharon) Anderson both of Ashland and Matthew G. (Rita) Anderson of Mansfield, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother Earl E. Anderson of Ashland.

Richard was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Anderson, a brother William Anderson and a sister Delores Keister.

A Celebration of Life service will be Sunday November 23, 2008 at 3:00pm at the Peace Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Rd., Ashland, with Rev. Virginia Phflueger officiating.Private inurnment will be at Ashland County Memorial Park where military rites will be held.Family and friends may call from 230pm to 3:00pm prior to the service at the church.
