Richard F. (Rich) Cooke, 84, of Cinnamon Lake, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Lodi Community Hospital. Richard was born April 3, 1925 in Cleveland, to Arthur William and Clara Michael Cooke. He married Mary M. Bangert on October 16, 1944.Richard was a corporal in the US Army Air force during WWII. He served as a Ball Turret Gunner on a B-24. He retired from Davy-McKee as a pipe designer. Richard enjoyed playing bridge and traveling all over the United States.



He will be deeply missed by his wife Mary, five sons and a daughter. Richard Jr (Carol), Of Cinnamon Lake, Albert (Elaine) of Middleburg Heights, Gene of Lakewood, Glenn (Sharon) of Franklin, TN., Peter (Vanessa) of Parma, and Mary (Jack) Butcher of Stow. Along with his 13 grandchildren and four great-grandsons. His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded Richard in death.




A Mass will be held at St. Steven Roman Catholic Church in honor of Richard. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 10:00 am, 44 Britton St. West Salem, with father Carl A Uhler officiating. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday April 28, 2009 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel 1058 US 250 N Ashland. . Burial will take place following service with Military Honors by active duty US Air Force at Ashland County Memorial Park. 1058 US 250 N.
