Rita Kiba

Rita S. Kiba, 80, of Rockynol in Akron, died Monday, December 5, 2005 at her residence. Services will be Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel at 9560 Acme Road, Seville. Friends may call Thursday, December 8 from 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockynol at 1150 West Market Street, Akron, OH 44313.

She was born September 28, 1925 in Logan County, West Virginia to Patrick Joseph and Aileen (Hunter) Somers. She married Joseph Kiba on October 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1984. ?She was a retired employee of Nabisco Packaging in Seville and a member of Jesus Emmanuel Parish in Seville. She enjoyed reading, crafts, trivia and playing Bingo at Rockynol.

She is survived by children Anne Kiba of Inverness, FL, Ellen (Greg) Summy of Akron, Mary (Larry) Bowman of Cuyahoga Falls, Rita (George) Young of Hartville, Alice (Doug) Wilcox of Ashland, Barbara (Adam) Niemeyer of Magnolia, Joseph (Sue) Kiba of Akron, Patricia (Rex) Kick of Rittman, John (Debbie) Kiba of New Milford, NJ, grandchildren Carol Gasperak, Doug Gasperak, Tom (Debbie) Bowman, Josh Bowman, Dan Bowman, Ed (Teresa) Young, Sarah (Ed) Zetts, Eddy Wilcox, Melinda Kiba, Stephanie Kiba, Ben Niemeyer, Steve Niemeyer, Sumaya Kiba, Emily Kiba, 11 great grandchildren, brothers Tom Somers of VA and Mickey Somers of FL. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Wendy Niemeyer, brother Eddie Somers and sisters Mary and Aileen.
