Robert "Bob" J. Chenevey, 79, of Wooster, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Smithville Western Care Center. ?Services will be at Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, with Fr. He was born June 18, 1927 in Fredericksburg to Cyril F. and Helen M. (Becker) Chenevey.
He graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1945 and served in the Army Air Corps from 1945-1948. He retired from the Gerstenslager's Company after 24 years of service. ?He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former member of St. Genevieve in Calmoutier. ?He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and walking around the nursing home grounds.
Surviving is a brother ?Rev. Fr. Anthony Chenevey of Dearborn, Michigan and sisters Regina (Earl) Rice of Fredericksburg and Mary L. Chenevey of Wooster, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, a brother Joseph, an infant brother Benedict and a nephew Edward "Pat" Rice died previously.
