Red was born on November 1, 1938, to Earl and Maude (Wiley) Gray of Ashland.He served in the Army National Guard.On November 11, 1972, he married Marjorie Thompson, who survives.
He worked for Fulmer’s Gulf for 35 years and retired from Wal-Mart.He was a member of American Legion Post #88.He built and collected model cars and was a NASCAR enthusiast.He enjoyed watching wrestling and following the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include his daughters Nancy (Steve) Williams, Patricia Hootman, Karen Denslow, all of Ashland, Valerie (Bennie) Riley of East Palestine, OH, and sons Kenneth Gray of Pennsylvania, Robbie Gray of Marion, OH , eight grandchildren and four great- grandchildren,two brothers, Jim (Bonnie) Zimmerman, of Ashland, Ronald (Mary) Gray of Ashland and two sisters, Ann Gray and Mary Bennett both of Ashland, OH.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11 am at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 Ashland, OH. with Pastor Bonnie Zimmerman officiating.Friends may call from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Funeral Home.
