Robert Hauger

Robert “Bob” L. Hauger, 77, of Ashland, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. Bob was born January 8, 1932 in Salem, Indiana to Kenneth and Hallie (Cooper) Hauger. He married Velma (Anderson) on June 22, 1952.



Bob was a farmer and did landscaping. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Bob was a bible schoolteacher and very involved with the church. He was a member of FFA, loved gardening, flowers and mowing. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.



Bob will be deeply missed by his wife Velma; children Debbie (Dean) Stow of Magnolia, Delaware, Becky (Steve) Downin of Boca Ruton, Florida, Steve Hauger of 29 Palms, California, Rick Hauger of Lucas, Ohio, Rob (Becky) Hauger of Ashland, Ohio, Christy “pumpkin” (Russ) Brown of Bradenton, Florida; 16 grandchild; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth (Edna Bell) Hauger of Connersville, Indian; Sisters Peggy (Kenneth) Morgan of Connerville, Indiana and Mary Ellen Beaver of Connersville, Indiana;



Bob was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Hallie, brothers Donald and Jimmy Hauger.



Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Home – Ashland Chapel, Ashland, with Tom McFadden officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
