Ronald J. "Pineapple" Jaynor, 68, of Columbus, formerly of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord August 20, 2006, at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, after a short battle with cancer. ?Services will be 2 PM Friday at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with eulogy by Karen Bricker. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.

He was born May 3, 1938, in Honolulu, Hawaii. ?He graduated from Wailua High School in 1956 and served in the U. S. Navy for 7 years. ?Ronald married Linda Sampsel on August 10, 1966. ?She survives. ?He worked for Gerstenslager's for several years and had lived in Columbus for the past 16 years. ?He enjoyed the outdoors and football.
Surviving are children Robert (Tracey) Jaynor, Pat (Mike) Curtis, Desiree (Tom) Lutsch, Jon (Melissa) Jaynor and Ronald Jaynor all of Wooster; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister Gladys Parks of Honolulu, Hawaii; and longtime friend Father Morgan.
His parents and one granddaughter died previously.
