Roy E. Troxel, 75, of Wooster died Sunday March 4, 2007 at Wooster Community Hospital. ?Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with Pastor Dave Lawson officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roy was born June 14, 1931 in Rittman to Melvin and Irene (Oxenrider) Troxel. ?He graduated from Rittman High School in 1949 and served in the Army during the Korean War. ?He married Donna Yates on May 11, 1956. ?
He retired from Packaging Corporation of America of Rittman in 1993 after 42 ? years of service. ?He was a member of Geyers Chapel Church of Smithville. ?He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and flying kites.
Roy will be deeply missed by his wife and children Tom Troxel of Baltimore, Maryland, Jerry (Mindi) Troxel of Burbank and Ken (Lorie) Troxel of Creston, grandchildren Daniella, Aaron, Alexis, and Katey Troxel, brother Richard (Nancy) Troxel of Cincinnati and sisters Twila Engler of Pennsylvania and Pat Mueller of Arizona.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
