Ruby Jane Benner, 78, of Rittman, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 peacefully at home Saturday morning with her loving family nearby. She battled cancer for a very short period. A private memorial service for the family will be held at Roberts Funeral Home. Ruby was born May 4, 1933 in Marshallville to Noah and Anna Musser (Fetter). She graduated from Doylestown High School.
She was a wonderful, very special mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend to many people.
All that knew her will miss her dearly. If you had the pleasure of running across her path you knew she was a very special person.
Ruby dedicated her life to her family and friends and to her many charity organizations: The Kidney Foundation, The Wounded Warriors Foundation, and the Viola Startzman Free Clinic in Wooster to name a few.
Her loving family will miss her dearly they include husband of 55 years Wilbur Benner, three children LeAnn Benner, Beth Ann Benner (Colosimo) spouse Peter Colosimo, Dean Benner spouse Lisa Benner; five beautiful grandchildren, Raffaele Mario Colosimo, Teresa Christina Colosimo, Peter Andrew Colosimo, Brooke Nicole Benner, and Breanne Rae Benner; twin sister and special friend Ruth Bond and son Hal Bond; sister Helen Berger and her spouse Nelson Berger; many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Ruby was preceded in death by parents Noah and Anna Musser, sisters, Elma Gsellman, Evelyn Curtis, Esther Hartzler, Anna Belle Unnen, and Mary Ellen Bolt; and a brother Harold Musser.
We love you mom and we will always love you and remember you and cherish the time we had with you.
As a mother comforts her child so I will comfort you says the Lord. Psalm: 103:13.
