Russell Lloyd Criss, 62,of West Salem, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Samaritan Regional Health Systems.
Russ was born December 4, 1947 in Wallace, West Virginia to James and Bertha (Myers) Criss.
Russ married Mary Lowe on July 18, 1969.Russ was employed at Rexroth as a machinist.He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Vietnam war.He loved fishing and hunting.
Russ will be deeply missed by his wife Mary,daughters; Carol Imars of Savannah and Joyce (William) Davis of West Salem,sons; Bobby J. Criss of Polk and Brian K. Criss of Kinsman, OH.Grandchildren; Rebecca, Jay, Jamie, Cody, Renee, Tyler, Kelsey and Alexis.Great-Grandchildren; Jayden and Jaysen.Brothers; Howard Criss of Perry, Oh, Fred (Linda) Criss of Clarksburg, WVA., Cecil (Linda) Criss of Wallace, WVA, and William Criss of Warrensburg, MI.
Russ was preceded in death by his mother, father, 1 sister; 5 brothers and his hunting dog Susie.
Funeral services will be Monday at 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 N., with Pastor Paul Bartholmew officiating, where military rites will be held.
