Sammie L. Fickle, 70, of Smithville, died May 2, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Rickey officiating.
Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.

Sammie was born December 31, 1941 in Waco, TX to Gertie Marie {Whitley} Shetler.
He was in the Army 1959 to 1966
He married Carol Messenger on September 8 , 1972.
He liked to do leather work, draw, play the piano, and loved his animals.
Sammie will be deeply missed by his wife; children Todd, Annette, Mark (Chris) Fickle, Jwana (Brett) Maurer; grandchildren Brittany, Aubrey, Emily, Cody, Damion, Angle.
Sammie was preceded in death by his mother.
