Samuel Feightner

Samuel Perry Feightner, 94, of Wooster, died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster. ?Friends may call Friday from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood chapel, Wooster. ?Services will be Friday at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Heavilin officiating. Sam was born on November 29, 1913 in Strongsville, Ohio to Samuel P. and Ella K. (Fortney) Feightner. ?He married Pauline Powell in 1950. ?She died in 1978. ?He then married Bertha M. McAfee in 1979. ?She died in 1994.

He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. ?He worked at Regal Ware in Wooster retiring in 1980 after 25 years of service. ?He also farmed in Ashland county for over 25 years. ?He was a member of the New Pittsburg United Methodist Church and the New Pittsburg Senior Citizens. ?He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Perry will be deeply missed by step-sons; Sam (Shirley) McAfee of Wooster and Robert (Louise) McAfee of Medina and step-daughters Bess Wade of Wheeling, Illinois, Phyllis (Dave) Bellamy of Wooster and Elizabeth (John) Copus of Sterling, 15 step-grandchildren, and 22 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his 2 wives Perry was preceded by a step-son Richard M. McAfee, 6 brothers, Harry, John, Walter, Paul, Cliffe and Willard Feightner and 2 sisters, Edna Heazlet and Esther Daiber.
