Sanford Rohrer

Sanford Rohrer, 85 of Wadsworth, died Saturday, August 29 at Altercare of Wadsworth. He was born December 5, 1923 in Wadsworth to Samuel and Ella (Rohrer) Rohrer. He married Alice Light on December 5, 1944. Sanford was a carpenter for over 40 years and enjoyed woodworking. He liked all sports, played golf, bowled and enjoyed gardening.

Sanford will be deeply missed by sons Roger Rohrer, Ken (Norma) Rohrer and Jack (Mona) Rohrer all of Wadsworth, grandchildren Athena, Geof, Mark, Jason, Jesse, great-grandchildren Gabee and Laci, brother James (Mary June) Rohrer of Virginia, and sister Mary (Demp) Frye of Wadsworth. He was preceded by his wife, Alice, brother Paul Rohrer, and sisters Ava Horst, Anna Lois Rohrer, and Mabel Geiser.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at First Mennonite Church, 405 Trease Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 with Pastor Rachel Siemens officiating. A private burial was conducted at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
