Shirley Ann Stenger, 72, of Wooster passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus after declining health. Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends to be announced at a later date. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Shirley was born December 24, 1936 in Thelma, Kentucky to Wallace and Mary (Boyd) Fraley. She married Franklin “Jack” Stenger in 1956 and was married for 14 years. He died in 1990. She graduated from Wooster Beauty College and fulfilled her dream of owning and operating a salon, “The Hair Cellar” in Wooster for 20 years. She loved the beach, ballroom dancing and her family above all else. She will be deeply missed by her mother of Wooster, daughter Michele (Holly) Stenger of Columbus, nephew Jason, nieces; Robyn, Traci, and Cindy. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, sister Peggy Cruit, and brother Larry Fraley.
